Health Promotion Program

Rehabilitation: Physical and Mental. Physical Therapy includes Work Simulations, Work Hardening and return to work in a timely fashion. Additional programs include: Smoking and Drug and Alcohol abuse.

Safety Programs: Working closely with employers and their safety personnel in setting up safety standards / programs in line with OSHA requirements, standards, and regulations.

 Employee Assistance Programs (EAP): Work closely with employers in the implementation of Employee Assistance Programs as recommended by the College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine to help decrease absenteeism and improve quality of work. Programs can also be tailored to include marriage and family counseling.

Health Promotion Programs: Will also be presented that will deal with obesity weight loss, diet education and exercise, smoking cessation, diabetes education, drug and alcohol related problems, etc.

Physical Therapy includes Work Simulations, Work Hardening and return to work in a timely fashion working in conjunction with the Department of physiotherapy/Rehabilitation and the Department of Psychiatry.

 SUBSTANCE ABUSE TESTING

Federally mandated testing for the five drug abuse (DOT) as well as other drug panels / alcohol, etc., as requested by the employer. These testing will be available as part of pre-employment / pre-placement physicals, periodic physicals and random testing.

 IMMUNIZATION/TRAVEL MEDICINE SERVICES

Travel Medicine services which include Vaccination Program; Information about geographical areas including the potential for exposures to disease and recommendations/precautions before travel; Return to the United States evaluation, recommendations and test.
